I am really concerned that we are forgetting the importance of proper business communication. I had an instance yesterday where a loans officer from a chartered bank told me he had tried to text me but realized he was texting to a land line and due to this I had not received his message.
To which my response was confusion and disappointment for the way he had handled things. My client had not received his approvals, from the bank and the bank representative is trying to address the situation only through texting! Texting is fine for teenagers who need a really low cost way of communicating, but surely as a business -person you should be able to afford to dial out on your cell phone or use a land line. If not you should re-think your career and how you could be letting your clients down.
