We had our Barrie and District Association of Realtors meeting a couple of weeks and our guest speaker was Barrie Mayor, Jeff Lehman.

I always enjoy hearing Mayor Lehman speak because he will tell you exactly what is going on and give you a good update.  After hearing the Mayor speak you can’t help but be ‘pumped’ about Barrie. Our crime rate is down significantly. Our unemployment rate is also down significantly. We have investors coming from overseas to look at our City as a place to invest millions of dollars and we have new employers opening up in Barrie. We have a downtown in Barrie that is really starting to take shape.

No City is perfect, but Barrie has a lot of good news to be proud of.  I think we have a wonderful Mayor who is leading us in the right direction.
