There are many perceptions floating around out there about Real Estate sales representatives. Some are good and some not so much. It would be correct to say the Real Estate business is a competitive arena to operate in.
Having acknowledged that I have to share with you how proud I was last week when I was really struggling to find my buyer client the right home. I put the word out that I was looking for a certain type of home and made some calls to ask if anyone knew of a new listing to please let me know right away.
Well within two days a friend of mine from a different brokerage called and said, ‘I just saw the perfect house for your client!’
Yes, it did turn out to be the perfect house and yes she bought it. How great is that? A sales rep from another brokerage called to help out a friend. It wasn’t his listing and he had nothing to gain from giving me the heads up, except the knowledge that he helped someone.
It’s nice that even though we work in a highly competitive industry there are sales representatives out there who just want to do what’s best for the client, no matter who has the relationship with them. I’m proud to be a Real Estate Sales Rep right here in Barrie!
