We’re starting to hear about it more and more. Mental health. Suicide awareness.
There are days set aside to draw attention to the various organizations and groups out there who are trying to make a difference. They are trying to get people talking and they are trying to raise funds to help organizations reach those people who need the help.
You’ve heard of Bell Let’s Talk Day, World Mental Health Day, World Suicide Prevention Day, National Suicide Prevention Week, and I’m sure there are more. Well, today marks the start of another special day.
Today there is a special football game taking place in Peterborough as part of a new initiative to get people talking about depression and suicide. The players will be collecting pledges for each tackle during each game all season.
Take a minute to read the articles and think about the message. This really is something we should all be talking about.
