Most of us had one or two days off this past weekend thanks to the Easter break. My family and I took advantage of the dry warm weather and the free time to clean up around our home. We raked, picked up garbage, gathered items that need to go to the dump.
This coming Friday marks the beginning of the City of Barrie’s annual ‘Spring Into Clean‘ community event which is broken down into four different categories. Have a look at their website for more details, but the basic idea is this:
1. Student Participation Day: Friday, April 25, 2014
2. Waterfront Clean-Up Day: April 26, 2014 *No Registration Required*
3. Community Clean-up Days: April 26 & 27, 2014
4. Corporate Challenge Days: April 25 & 26, 2014
This is a great way to show our neighbours how much we love the City of Barrie and how much we care about how it looks. If we all do our part it will encourage others to do theirs, and perhaps it will snowball into people being more aware of that garbage in their hand that they are about to toss.
Check out the website and make some time to help make our city shine! Then, take a picture of yourself, your friends or your family helping to clean up and send it to us…we’d love to post it on our website!!
