Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home? Are you aware that the installation of new ones or replacement of old ones becomes mandatory on Wednesday April 15th, 2015?
If you have a fuel burning appliance in your home, or if your garage is attached to your home, as of April 15th it becomes mandatory for you to have a newer, working carbon monoxide alarm/detector in your home. These can be found and purchased easily at your local hardware store…Canadian Tire, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and many other businesses in your community.
If you want to double check the rules then I encourage you to contact your local Fire Department.
Lives have been lost in the past due to carbon monoxide poisoning, so why not take this simple step to ensure your family is safe?
