How many of you have been to Parkside’s Corner Market, located at the corner of Parkside Dr and Park St in Barrie?

I have lived in Barrie for a number of years, and once upon a time there was this awesome restaurant downtown called Garraway’s.  I didn’t get to eat there often, but when I did it was a great experience.  I also believe that sometimes things happen for a reason.

Earlier this week I was showing some homes in Barrie’s downtown area and drove past Parkside’s Corner Market.  I noticed that what used to be a run down convenience store has been redone with a new exterior and it really stands out. But I didn’t give it a second thought. Then, this morning, I was flipping through the most recent edition of The Real Estate Book and noticed this big half page ad for Parkside’s Corner Market!  I was trying to figure out why this little convenience store would bother putting an ad in a real estate booklet, so I started reading.  I discovered that Jim Garraway, the owner of Garraway’s, is now selling delicious take out food at this little corner convenience store!  The ad says he has soups, salads, quiche, pasta, wraps and even smoked chicken and ribs made in his own smoker!!

So I felt compelled to spread the word.  I believe it’s important to support small businesses and I know a lot of people enjoyed going to the restaurant, so why not stop by and keep up the demand for quality local food!  They’re located at 38 Parkside Dr, are open Mon to Fri, 9 am to 6:30 pm, Sat 10 am to 6 pm and Sun 12 pm to 5 pm.  You can call them at 705-241-9383 or visit their Facebook page…just search Parkside Corner Market.
