The Grass Is Always Greener

July 21, 2016

You’ve heard the phrase, ‘The grass is always greener on the other side’, right?image

Well, what if the grass really IS greener?  While watching CTV news last night I discovered that there are companies out there that will come and PAINT your dead grass!

Seriously!  Home owners across Ontario, and especially here in Simcoe County, are becoming resigned to the fact that this is not going to be a good summer for a lush, green, healthy looking lawn.   If you want to stand out in your neighbourhood and have that green lawn anyway, you can spend a few dollars and have your lawn PAINTED!  I’m not sure how I feel about this.  The news clip even talked about how great this process is for homeowners who are looking to sell their home and want to increase the curb appeal by making their lawn look green. painting-lawns-green

I don’t know about the rest of you, but it looks pretty fake to me.  I’d rather someone be honest and just let the lawn exist in it’s natural state.  Our environment is naturally dry this year, so why try to fool people by painting your grass?  Let’s just be honest.  After all, it’s only grass!  If you’re trying to improve your curb appeal while your home is for sale, add a few planters and keep those watered.
