It’s that time of year again.  A time for giving thanks.  Alongside some of my fellow Royal LePagers, I had the pleasure of gathering some items for the Barrie Food Bank again this year.

It’s not too late for you to make a difference, and it doesn’t have to be something big.  Grab a few cans of soup, boxes of cereal, juice boxes, a bag of diapers, or some shampoo and deoderant.  Place them in the bin at the entrance to the grocery store, or drive over to the Foodbank.  They also welcome cash and grocery gift cards so that they can buy what they don’t receive in donations.  If we all do a little bit, it goes a very long way.

We live in a wonderfully generous community but we can’t assume that someone else will pick up the slack.  We need to be always mindful of the needs of others.   Let’s all help our neighbours have a very Happy Thanksgiving this year!
