Our Barrie & District Association of REALTORS released the September market stats earlier today and The Weber Team thought it would be a good time to get back into the routine of sharing these with you. The report summarizes various markets in Simcoe County, but we are going to focus on the Barrie Housing Market. According to the Media Release put out by the Barrie & District Association of REALTORS on October 17th, the following are the stats for the Barrie Real Estate Market.
“Within the City of Barrie, detached residential properties posted an average selling price for the month of September, 2017 of $515,522 which is an increase of 8% over September 2016. The number of residential units sold in September 2017 dropped 43% compared to September 2016.
Residential townhouse, link and semi-detached homes in the City of Barrie posted an average selling price of $385,228 in September 2017, a 12% increase over September 2016. There was a 52% decrease in number of units sold in September 2017 from the same time in 2016.
Condominium sales in the City of Barrie for the month of September 2017 had an average selling price of $346,481, a 30% increase compared to September 2016. The number of units sold was up 29% from the same time last year.”
